PhD Program in City and Regional Planning
Applications are open to both national and international candidates who meet the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in one of the following fields: City and Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Civil Engineering, Geomatics/Surveying Engineering, Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering, or Geography.
- A minimum score of 60 from the ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) in either the Quantitative or Equally Weighted categories.
- A minimum score of 60 from YÖKDİL, YDS, KPDS, or ÜDS, or an equivalent score from international examinations (TOEFL iBT/CBT/PBT, FCE, CPE, or CAE).
- Turkish Language Proficiency for International Students: A TÖMER C1 Certificate (Advanced Level) is required.
- Applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV), Statement of Purpose, Portfolio, a copy of their Master’s Thesis, and two Letters of Recommendation.
All applicants are required to attend an oral interview as part of the admission process.
